SeadogTo me, the pickle rick meme represents the antithesis of Rick and Morty: it's dumb, the humor comes from yelling, and it's not "deep" or "meaningful" in the slightest. So when people started unironically saying stuff like "Rick and Morty is the best written show on TV" or Rick and Morty is so deep u need to have an epicly high IQ and big brain like me to enjoy it" a lot of people's response has to been to make a meme out of what's probably the worst episode. Of course some lovers of this meme could be completely unaware of all these meta layers and just genuinely think Pickle Rick is funny, which to me is actually more valid than being "moved" by all the "deep moments" in Rick and Morty.
