m0nkTo be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Dark Souls. The lore is extremely cryptic, and without a solid grasp of the world around you most of the lore will go over a typical player’s head. There’s also Dark Soul's nihilistic outlook on humanity and how people try to maintain some type of purpose even though they usually get a dark outcome. Which is deftly woven into the games- the lore draws heavily from Vaati Vidya literature, for instance. . As a consequence people who dislike Dark Souls truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the sadness of Siegmeyer's questline, which itself is a metaphor for how even though we can prolong the invetiable, it is useless to. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Hidetaka Miyazaki's genius wit unfolds itself on their television/computer screens.
