| EVILMISHMASH | You would have to tell me more as to which plugin, the symptom, and or things you've done to try and fix it. If a plugin is OLD and the plugin maker is not bothering to update it or offer support on it anymore -- GET RID OF IT! Why? Well, just like I told Kruffty, I am telling you-- plugins can be exploited OR have exploits in them and they can be used by hackers to hack your servers. So, first things first get rid of things you dont really need or use. Try to depend more on your config file by setting up variables there. Then add the plugins that you can't live without and check every few weeks to see if they have been updated. Remember, these plugins are NOT software and it will not alert you when an update is made so it requires YOU to check it for updates and so on. They assume its someone cheating and then threatens to report them to as a VAC ban because we had a M60 with Fire Bullets (oh wait Incidiary ammo to be correct)... so that my friends is a "HACK" on a modded server owned by anyone OTHER than Steam LOL. Complete idiots I tell ya. Anyway, that was an experience dealing with those little fellas. Idiots didn't even realize there is no fall on the server and they fell into a space where there is NO ladders or anything. It may be in this directory for you (depends on where you prefer to store your steam folder) C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\cfgMake a copy of your config.cfg file, and put it somewhere safe. A great program to get is WinMerge, and you can always compare your backup copy with an updated version of the cfg file to see what changes were made. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO any of this if you're not familiar with cfg files. Like I said always make a backup of the original before you attempt any edits.Here is a tip for those handy with cfg files. | EVILMISHMASH | Request for Tips: Return of the Jockeys campaign-- When it first starts off I kill the zombies and specials while running to the area where the Jockey Bot has to open the door for us. My tip is 3 players stay behind about 500ft, 1 player goes to the ammo pile and then QUICKLY turns around to run back to the others. This will cause the Jockey bot to open the door. Zombies and specials will pour out from the two openings in the wall. IF you stay at the ammo pile you will just be attacked. Move to the Ammo room. Try to drop all the medkits and defibs down into the fight scene room. Go slow down the ramp and stop at the ledges to get any kits/fibs that are stuck on the ledge. I find the auto-shotty with special rounds kills the Jockybot faster. I then use the Frag rounds with a faster gun on the Centipedes green circles. | EVILMISHMASH | Just got my "Still Something To Prove" achievement! I found using the auto shotgun and the sword was the easiest to get across the bridge. When you hear the tank, DO NOT run forward because he will toss cars on you. Instead, turn around, go up the bridge ramp so you're above him, and take a shot and run to the ammo dump truck.... if you're lucky you will have two or more shots there. Take one shot and RUN to the gas truck, climb up. Pass over the trucks, shoot, and as soon as you start to get close to the bus take another shot... RUNNNNNNNNN. Get to the hummer, and you will see two pipe bombs... grab one (you only have time for one) and toss it... GOOOOOOOOOO... do NOT go back for anyone that is NOT in the green or you're just DEAD. Sadly, that is just the way it goes. Oh, and I started off running down the right side this time. The trick is the AI offering up as many shots as it can. GOOD LUCK! | 2011-08-30 10:37:27 |

| EVILMISHMASH | Anyone have Questionable Ethics? I is a great "different" campaign... it is bland, lots of open space, but still it can be tricky!I am also looking for team players to help me get the last two campaigns under Expert so I can get the achievement "Still Something To Prove". After that I would like to get the Realism achievement. I've done the first three non-public with the bots (what crap that was)As for more campaigns to check out... Warcelona looks really cool but it is a bit buggy (server issues IMHO) as I've had friends have trouble getting into the game several times.Another great campaign is Suicide Blitz... | EVILMISHMASH | Was just playing L4D2, and there I was attacked by a witch because one player startled the witch. So, I'm helped up, and I'm dragging myself in the red at +50 (almost dead) and the three players leave me behind. I had to toss a pipe bomb to help get a hoard off of me, and well... TWO witches came after me. So, the other three help me up, and there I am at +1 (one hit and I'm dead)... they all had full green, first aid packs, shots/pills. Do you think a single one of them offered to help? NO not a single one of them. SO, here I am at +1, and toss a pipe bomb so I could get into a trailer to be safe. One guy says DUH that was worthless... so I decide let me turn my MIC on and I said... WELL, if someone would heal me it would be more helpful... it is a team effort right? Well, one of the little kids KICKED me! LOL So, that is my story as to my bad experience with playing the game live, but the majority of people are SUPER COOL!
