I absolutelly SUCK in any kind of pvp with him. My main is pure melee who doesn't even use weapon buffs. Half the time I'm still trying to parry with my pyro glove. | Walex | So I've gotta say, than's so much for the tips about the Outlaw gear! I've changed up my set!Warmonger sword, dagger, armor (one armor with 25% poison, another armor with 25% curse) and cloak. Outlaw Bow (bonus damaged to enraged) and Outlaw ring (bonus follower damage to enraged). With the 2/2 random element on hit, plus the fire explosions and fire healing. It's working a lot better! | Walex | Niiice gear tips! I actually don't think I have the Slaughter and Outlaw Legendary sets, but the random elements of Outlaw sounds like the way to go! I did not activate the Slaughter/Outlaw "invasion" events on the map, because I learned they don't regenerate. And at the time of each tribe DLC release, almost all the randomly new generated orcs were of that tribe. But that's probably the best way to get those Legendary gear sets!I am so excited by this latest expansion! I logged in to complete daily/community quests last night and saw that a whole new area (with collectibles) and a new fortress were added to the main campaign? | Walex | I am still using Warmonger (4 piece - sword, dagger, armor, ring) / Mystic (2 piece - cloak, bow) for the flame burst & heal and the stronger allies/summons. I was lucky enough to have by Warmonger Sword broken and upgraded twice by Ologs. I love the look of that set!Because the Warmonger Knife always applies fire on stealth attacks and my Warmonger Armor has a high chance of also inflicting Poison, I can often get aerial stealth attacks that apply Balefire - still not useful for your badass orcs though But I'll need to switch up gear entirely for your Nurnen I think! Do you keep the same gear set for most of the time in the end game or switch it out for each conquest? | Walex | I actually ran across Ghura Lump Head in a regular Online Conquest, he looks really cool (put up a screenshot yesterday), probably the closest thing to the disfigured Sauron Orc commander from the Battle of the Pelennor Fields in Return of the King film.Other favorites (apart from my #1 Tugog) are the Singer, Overlord in Seregost because he has a cursed musical lute, haha!Ar-Benu the Mountain who is a dark brown mystic armored Olog (Warcheief in Nurnen) who somehow glitch ended up a Necromancer ability (although that should be restricted to pale skin orcs with Cursed weapons). As you said, Necromancer is so useful for being in your offensive and defensive lineup. I've kept and raised him since I got him way early in Nurnen. Prak the Rogue (Overlord- Nurnen) is just so much a Pirate I had to keep him. The Champion of Gorgoroth/Mordor Olog in Gorgoroth is a recent find. | Walex | I wonder if Skoth has the Life Steal perk (which doesn't show on the Orc page) for re-gening health from attacks? I kind of wish it did show up, because those would make great choices for overlords/pit fighters. I'd say all 4 of my overlords are truly top favorite orcs, and not necessarily the best at combat or pit fights. But it's almost like I'm assuming the difficulty part is getting to the Overlord throne room and the Overlords should be just cool. The Machine Slayer is defintiely one of my favorites. He has a lot of dodging skills (projectiles, vault, grapple). I think he'd be pretty good at Online Pit Fights but I don't want to risk losing him (my problem with having unique favorite orcs as Overlords ). I've had my bodyguards and overlords just vanish from the game (Tugog and Bruz) while I was wrapping up story missions so I'm kind of paranoid about losing them. | 2018-05-01 09:23:50 |
| Walex | You were completely right about your Koth! He KO'd two of his bodyguards during the fight and I was so puzzled by the two orange nameplates when the vs. cutscense would show up! I was like "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, what is going on! He's so angry he's killing EVERYONE!" I can totally see how he makes a great bodyguard. What happens if an enranged friendly dominated orc hits Talion and puts him in last chance?I'll let you know about the spider summoners in your forts, and I'll stay away from your Seregost until we see if they get the issues patched in the Desolation of Mordor big DLC/Store Removal update. Either means (1) I take a bronze or (2) I die after reaching the inner court yard because I used up my 2 last chances --- and #2 is the more likely. I've also had all my orcs disappear multiple after taking control point 6, leaving me solo to finish off 2-3 warchiefs.I should do a friendly invasion of my own forts just to revisit some of my favorites. I remember, like you said the feral berzerker was nasty because he would repeatedly hit me when he was enreaged if I wasn't constantly dodging. Just figured he'd be a fun fight, and he's the only necro assassin I've come across. I'll be invading more of your forts the next couple days.. need good forts to test some new lineups against .My favorite orc is actually Koth in gorgoroth, his resistances are garbage, he usually dies quicker than he should in assaults --or gets enraged and kills his fellow defenders-- but he's a badass bodyguard lolJust don't bother invading Seregost, the game refuses to update that fort so it shows mostly empty now. (The first time one of your assasin bodygards got me with No Chance-- very sneaky!)I'll have to say you have some really badass orcs defending that! So many of them are resistant to fire (which makes my Warmonger + Mystic + Poison assault strategy not so good )The Taskmaster Overlord was a great fight! He had so many immunities my only chance to win was to dominate/shame him since he is so good at combat!). Just like Tugog, he's evidence that a small orc can be just as badass as an Olog!
