Yang | Sorry each comment is not allowed to be more than 1000 characters so I split the essay into 4 sections in reverse chronology-note the beginning of each comment has part_ signifying the order it is in. | 2013-06-08 13:50:58 |
Yang | Part 4You do not need to add it to the base game, just make it into a steam update, like Pontus, It dosen't have to be from the first day, but ASAP would be nice. I would really appreciate it and I have taken a long time and a lot of hard work to write this message.Yours Sincerely,YangBang101 (on steam | 2013-06-08 13:49:03 |
Yang | Part 3I believe that the Seleucids should be free downloadable content from steam, like Pontus. You can try to sell the Seleucid as a pack, but due to the sheer amount of factions in Rome 2, you will not be able to sell many for more than 5 dollars (Im english so i dont know the dollar sign sorry). You could try to couple it with more factions (like the Greek Cultures pack) but the Seleucids don't fit with any group of states at that time except Alexander's Diadochi (Successor) states, which are already part of the game. Plus I am rarely allowed to buy add-ons to your games, just the base game. | 2013-06-08 13:48:28 |
Yang | Part 2 This gives a nice touch to seleucid battles using a combination of the best troops of antiquity to defeat the AI and friends alike (Can i just congratulate you on figuring out how to make multiplayer campaigns). Plus, Seleucids have good access to mercenaries (Cretan Archers, Rhodian Slingers, Peltasts and Hoplites to the west, Bedouins and Arab Cavalry to the south, Scythians and Samaritans to the north. and nothing good to the east). This combines to form a strong reinforcing backup for the seleucids. | 2013-06-08 13:48:07 |
Yang | Part 1I believe that Seleucid Empire should playable in Rome 2 Total War in the form of a free-DLCFirstly, in Rome Total War, Seleucids started with a weak unique position, surrounded by enemies with no allies and very weak garrisons and armies. Most large factions in your games are weak and this adds a challenging aspect to their games which senior and experienced players like. This is rewarded with the Seleucid's amazing range of troops (my second point) and combines the tough flexible heavy legions with the solid phalanxes as well as heavy and light cavalry in the form of cataphracts and companion cavalry (and ELEPHANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). | 2013-06-08 13:47:41 |
Yang | I'll try to post my letter/essay/thesis for the Seleucid Empire as a free-DLC for you to see | 2013-06-08 13:44:42 |
