| Nostrilpiper Von Headcheddar | if you dont know how to playermodel watch this epic tutorial https://youtu.be/VAYWPY7EkaQ .is good vid, but he doesnt go in depth for weight painting|what i do with weight painting is that i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ look at the vertex groups in weight paint mode, and look at the already existing weights, and i rename them to the valve bones that they correspond with. lets say if a leg has like 4 whole ass vertex groups (sections of weight painting) then i use the vertex mix modifier (found in the wrench icon in blender) to join them together. for example, my d.va model had a body mesh and a suit mesh. i renamed all the body vertex groups to the valve names, so when i move the bones the arms would also move. after that, i clicked on the suit mesh and used the "data transfer" modifier and basically moved the body mesh weights to the suit weights. | 2022-10-12 03:23:40 |
